Urgent Sim Unlock help?

http://forum.xda-developers.com – Hey guys before I had 2.3 and I had used an SGS unlocker off the market store to extract my nv_data.bin, I then used the samsung tool unlock code generator, when I used this I remember it unlocking my phone. I'm now running a custom JB rom and my network isn't working at all and when I search for it, it says "error while searching for network" I tried using the same method as last time to do it, i deleted my old nv_data and its just erroring in the samsung unlock tool. Hello everyone.

I installed CWM 5.0.2.6 and then Cyanogen mod 9 succesfully. Then I changed it to "MIUI TOCAi 0.1.4" and it was working fine although it could not find my network.

I'm on the latest official OTA of 4.2.1

Do I need to unlock the bootloader to root?

I read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2187982 and I'm still not sure whats happening...

All these threads below are asking the same thing, "What's the best", and the general consensus is that there isn't a "best", it's all about personal preference.

I got this TMo GNote 2, and want to purchase a Sim subsidy unlock code but according to this website if the Android is not 4.1.1 it will not work, Im running T889UVBMB4 Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Unlocking Issue! | CellUnlocker.net for Unlock Codes

Does anyone know if this is true? Or should I purchase the code?

Also found this pound code to unblock it but I havent tried it yet...
