Hi,Tonight i migrate from windows to centos 6.3 in my laptop. my laptop is dell Insoiron n5110.after installing Centos 6.3 everything is working good expect wireless.
On a Toshiba laptop I need both wired and wireless capability.
I started by installing Ubuntu 10 but couldnt get any internet, wired or wireless and the wireless usb mouse didnt work.
I've been successfully running Ubuntu for over a year, but things were starting to slow down. I decided to clean off the HD and reinstall to get rid of the cruft I'd accrued. In retrospect there were probably better ways to accomplish that end, but it's too late now.
I downloaded 11.10 and put it on a USB drive, restarted my laptop, formatted the partition and installed.
Recently I installed CentOS 6.3 on a 64-bit laptop with a brand-new, completely blank 500GB hard drive. During the installation I told CentOS to use the entire hard disk.
I've now decided that I would like to have Ubuntu and CentOS installed alongside each other on this laptop.
Dear Linux Experts,
On my windows 7 desktop with the help of Vmware workstation (Version 7.1),
created virtual machine and installed Centos 5.7 successfully using ISO image.
Query : Is this possible to upgrade the Centos 5.7 using Centos 5.8 ISO image to Centos version 5.8?.. if yes kindly guide me the procedure to upgrade.
Thanks in advance,
Ananth
Hi
My laptop had a crash a while ago and after restarting it took a while to fix disk errors. Everything runs normally since then but the wired internet connection does not work at all. I can connect through wireless without any difficulty though. Here's the output of a few command (PS.

I recently bought a Lenovo K23 laptop with which I am much pleased. The wireless card works off a Broadcom proprietary driver, and I eventually figured out how to install that and get wireless.
However, in the process I nuked my ethernet capabilities.
