I've been trying several combinations of OSX, CentOS to try and get CentOS
installed on an old iMac. I finally first installed OS X, then installed
CentOS in the open space after OS X. With refit installed and selecting
CentOS, it starts booting but get a screen that a boot device can't e
found. So I then install Xubuntu with the option to replace OS X.
I have a problem with installing yum in CentOS (version 5.3, 64bits). My CentOS not yet install yum, so i can't install other package that I need. I found out one article that show how to install yum on CentOS (both 32bits and 64bits), but it doesn't work for me.
I'm trying to make an emergency recovery disk with Mondorescue to:
Restore my server in case of hardware (or severe software) failure.
Make an "identical" server setup for debugging and staging. My original image was lost when my laptop died, during setting up this server. Then I had to do it again from scratch in a hurry..
