After upgrading the previous version of Ubuntu to 12.04 LTS, the Mail Notification application (declared as startup application under unity; parameters of mail server are set well) does not return any signs of life: no asking for password, no alerting windows if an email arrives.
Thanks in advance, Marek.

I checked out http://www.ubuntu.com/tour/en/#
It looks like exactly the same version I have. What are the benifits of upgrading
Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum, so please excuse if I'm not posting in the correct spot. BTW, I'm a WIndows Server Admin, with limited Apache/Ubuntu server knowledge.
So, I work in a company that is upgrading an Exchange server.
After upgrading (and after that I did a clean install) to Ubuntu 12.10 Server my Monitor turns black after choosing Ubuntu in grub. I read several tips about uninstalling proprietary nvidia drivers but my system doesn't have them.
I have got ubuntu 12.04 alongside Windows 7 on dell inspiron mini 160 GB. The size of ubuntu is not sufficient now. Can I redraw partition size when upgrading to ubuntu 12.10, as i find myself not able to understand GParted.
Hi all,
Just wanted to post about a problem I found and resolved after upgrading from Ubuntu Server 10.04 LTS to 12.04.1 LTS.
After upgrading I had problems with getting OpenVpn Server running. It had been working for several years previously. I run a bridged connection that allows OpenVpn to assign IP's on my primary LAN.
To start with, I'm new to the whole Linux and any and all subsets thereof.
I have one Ubuntu server that I use to run the "FOG" imaging solution for my organization. I have been using this imaging product for about 2 years and I'm pretty adept at doing what I need to do on this server.
