The main screen in ClockworkMod Recovery has the option "wipe cache partition". The "advanced" menu has "Wipe Dalvik Cache". Are these distinct options that clear separate areas or does "wipe cache partition" also wipe the Dalvik cache?
Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere -- point me to the post.
First off if you're on ANY recovery that isn't CWM 188.8.131.52 you DO NOT NEED TDJS SUPER WIPE OR CACHE WIPE SCRIPTS!!!! Seriously stop flashing these people you're filling up threads with problems caused by both of these scripts and bad flashing methods. Here's how to PROPERLY flash a ROM..
If on CWM 6.0.x.x
1. Wipe factory data/reset
2. Wipe cache
3. Go into mounts and storage
4. Format /system
Everything was going so well. I received my perfect phone a couple days ago...unlocked it, installed cwm 184.108.40.206, and rooted it. Kept it stock and only flashed franco and Drummerjed's volume boost. Life was swell.
I decided I wanted to try the Dalvik optimization mod and in preparation booted into recovery to make a nandroid.
When I wipe system cache and dalvik and then format system... I still have the previous wallpaper I had from the previous rom.... is there something im doing wrong? I also get a (e) unknown path for volume when I select to wipe dalvik?
