I have an HTC one m8, had it since June, and I upgrade phones VERY frequently, every 3-6 months. I have a way to always earn money or lose very little doing it, which I assure you is completely legal. I am pretty excited for Android l, but with essentially stock android on the new moto x, and 90 day updates on HTC one m8, I'm tempted to upgrade.
Yesterday,I updated my gs3 to 4.1.2 using kies.I was rooted with chainfire's exynosabuse.apk but before I upgrade,I unrooted. Now, everytime I reboot I get the "android is upgrading" message. After searching for a while,it turned out that the system wipes dalvik cache on every boot but why is it happening ?

Hello there, I bought a new activity tracker recently and it is only compatible with android software 4.3 and above. I have had my current phone s2 for almost 3 years and still loving it. Now the only issue is it does not support my activity tracker app.
1) is there any way out to upgrade it to android 4.3?
2) must I root before upgrading the software? Can I do it without rooting?
