When I had upgraded everything was ready on the screen om my computer and with my 12.04 ubuntu.
When I restarted my system, the graphics card was not detected. I was forced to start the computer in low graphics mode, and eventually I had a pink deskop with only my maps, and no other programs at all.
What do I do now?
I have a dell-inspiron n5110 and I just upgraded to Ubuntu 12.10, I tried to install Macbuntu 10.10, previously I had gnome-fallback installed. The installation didn't completely work or seemed to be done, I logged out and back on and all was fine, and I uninstalled Macbuntu.
Hi Everyone,
I was attempting to get a graphics tablet working and so removed a number of files with a view to re-installing these.
One of the files was ... xserver-xorg-input-wacom
Then, when I rebooted the computer, I got the following message ...
The system is running in low-graphics mode
Your screen, graphics card, and input device settings could not be detected correctly.

Hi, I'm new to ubuntu. I was using opensuse earlier, started using ubuntu when I got my new dell inspiron 15R (5520) pre-installed with ubuntu 11.10. Am upgraded to 12.04 now.
After upgrade to 12.04, the laptop is running very hot and fan is screaming away all the time, Battery life is so low that I have to use it plugged in, all the time. I have an AMD Radeon HD 7xxx graphics card.
I was using the nouveau driver with my graphics card on Fedora 17. But the system often freezes so I just installed the nVidia driver.
I have installed 12.8 (new) Ati Amd driver for my Mobility Radeon HD 7550.
After installing I configured xorg.conf using "aticonfig --initial" and restarted the laptop.
I got the screen saying the system is running in low graphics mode. graphics drivers etc could not be determined. And gives me 4 options: 1. Run in low graphics mode for just one session 2. Recofigure graphics 3.
i installed newest ubuntu relaese yesteday and everything was fine till today. when i turned it on there was this message:
the system is running in low-graphics mode. your screen, graphic card and input device settings could not be detected correctly.
