Well I need to use transmission, deluge of a certain version because of a web site I use. And since transmission is preinstalled i'm gonna stick with it unless updating deluge is easier. Basically transmission isn't updating for me. Version installed:Transmission 1.51 (7963) I need 1.7x or 1.8x . And I have had no luck updating it at all.
I never had problems updating my software, but it has been a long time without updating my Software and when I try updating it now, the Authentification page opens but closes immediately, without letting me introduce the password. So I can not update it because it says it failed.
I am currently running Ubuntu 12.04 and I seem to be having problems updating and various other problems that my stem from the updating one (I'm not sure). So, I'm getting an error when I try to update, I use the Update Manager, get an error, so I go to the Terminal, update there, and get the same answer.
I seem to be having issues updating. Through update manager things just seem to hang, and if I try sudo apt-get update I get errors like Err 403 Forbidden. I tried creating a sources list then replacing the old one, but upon running the keys as the website suggested this also failed.
Maybe some of you did not realize that in Ubuntu Lucid Lynx, there are no icons on the System Menu. The icons are exist on the Applications and Places menu. It still in doubt why Ubuntu team doing this.
I have PPA installed on my Ubuntu 12.04 system and it keeps prompting me with an update for a certain application; this update breaks the software. The PPA itself also has many different applications which work great. Is there anyway to keep this ppa installed, with it updating the other applications, while stopping it from updating one of them.
