http://forums.opensuse.org – Hi there to everyone ... I'm new to OpenSUSE. I come from the ubuntu world, and I'd like to try out some SUSE :). But here is my problem: I installed SUSE on a VmWare Fusion on Mac OS X. The install went well but when i want to update the system it gives me an error about a file .xml something. I'm not at home so I can't give you the exact error message. But when i do a Code: sudo zypper update Its not working. Am I doing it wrong ? I had the same problem on Fedora with the package manager. How can i fix this kind of problems ? Thanks a lot for your help and I'm rely sorry if I wans't clear. I can give you the error message once I'll be home from work. (Distributions)

I made some mistake when downloading and installing dansguardian, tinyproxy and firehol. After setting up the firewalls now I get error messages when getting updates. I tried researching the forum regarding this error and tried some things but nothing worked. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I understand that there are several risks with running with 12.04 at the moment. I've come across an error that does not allow to use the update manager.

I got this when after finishing the usual updates and i don't know how to deal with:

An unusual situation has happened to my computer. There seems to be a bug with the "update-manger" package.
