I have i747 and update is only possible through ota that's what written on official website kies is not updating my phone as it is showing 4.1.1 is the latest firmware.
Please help me how can i update my Sgh-i747 manually or any other method.
I don't wanna root my phone..
When I rooted my phone (I747), I had 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. I ended up unrooting back to stock due to unsucessfully flashing several different custom ROMS, plus the occasional freezing up that took place. I sucessfully unrooted (thanks to Skunkape's thread) back to JB 4.1.1.
Now that JB 4.3 is available, I would like to update.
Long ago when Statler 1 came out,I asked were the super-U update was.and Benj1 posted a script.http://crunchbanglinux.org/forums/topic m-updates/ Now every install i do,I install this script and make a keybind.I just like hitting the Super-U key for updates,Ive been Crunchbang Brainwashed threw the years. lol Is this necessary ?Am i missing an easier way to update ?
Let's say I open the Update Manager, and my package list is a couple of days old, or I do apt-get upgrade without doing an apt-get update first, what is the result of this?
If there have been updates since I last did a 'check' in the Update Manager, do I not get the latest version? Or do I simply not get updates on packages which had not updates at the time of my last check?
Sorry to reopen this topic, but something has changed since the last message was posted, and I thought that it is better to reopen this than opening a new topic. The key org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.updates.force-get-updates-login no longer exists, someone is getting notifications even without this key?
