Hi,I'm using Evolution on CentOS 6.3. With all updates installed Evo is 2.28.3-24. It has a nasty bug: notifications for CalDav calendars are not working. RH has fixed this in 2.28... [by assen]
I've been able to save my mails in many mbox files, if evolution won't work I'll use firebird but I don't like this solution.
As I had a couple of google calendars not working and two existing google mail account that, without any reason (I tried gnome3, but INMHO it doesn't matter), become type imapx, I decided to start evolution from scratch.
I have been using Ubuntu 12.04 and Evolution as a mail client for a long time and have GB of data in Evolution. I bought a new PC and installed Ubuntu 14.04LTS and apt-get installed Evolution. After that I imported my saved Evolution file. All the emails are there and it tries to fetch mail for all the accounts that I had previously set up.
Ubuntu dropped non-PAE kernel support so I had to switch to Arch on my wife's laptop. I did a very thorough backup including 'evolution'. The backup cannot be imported (without any error though). I suspect a version incompatibility.
My question is: What version of evolution comes with an up-to-date 12.04 lubuntu installation?
I've just installed Ubuntu for the first time. I've got most stuff working so far, but I've got stuck trying to connect to a 1and1 MS Exchange 2013 email account using Evolution.
I've had a look around these forums and google in general, but can't find a solution.
I've installed evolution and evolution-ews plugin ok. The account set up seems to go ok, but the authentication always fails.
Evolution, a complete solution that provides integrated mail, address book and calendaring functionality to users of the GNOME desktop environment, is now at version 3.6.1. Evolution 3.6. is the first maintenance release in the latest stable branch and brings just a few bugfixes.
