I recently upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S2 to ICS. I use google contacts to manage my phone numbers and I have my contacts set to only display contacts with phone numbers when I view my contacts.
However, why I start a search on my contacts it searches everything on my phone. It searched my sim, all email addresses, everything.
I recently installed Jelly Bean to my Galaxy S3 and since the update, my Parrot CK3100 car kit cannot read my contacts.
When I re-paired the phone with the bluetooth kit, I was prompted on the S3 screen to allow the Parrot to access my contacts but even still the phone book on the parrot is greyed out and any recieved calls have just the number displayed, no names.

I had a Palm Treo 700W until 2010 and accumulated about 800 contacts. I went iPhone for a couple of years (without transferring the contacts) but got a Galaxy III a couple of weeks ago and finally wanted to get all those contacts into the new phone.

On Samsung Galaxy Ace (model GT-S5830i), Android version 2.3.6, when I install WhatsApp, the WhatsApp application works ok.
But the PHONE's contact's crash.
The situation is that when I try to call someone, I go to the phone icon, contacts, look for my contact, when I tap it's name...the phone freezes for for a phone seconds, then it says "Android.process.acore" crashed.

However... in regards to my contacts... it merged all my sim contacts with my phone contacts... which I'm quite happy with by the way.
My question is tho... I have made changes or added new numbers to my phone contacts since the upgrade...
Hello! I have just received a new HTC OneV after owning a Samsung, but unfortunately the HTC has a software error and now has to be returned. This is a pity as I have only just got my head around the new HTC! I need to know how do I now put all my contacts that are now on my HTC phone on to my old Samsung? The contacts are not on the SIM but on the phone.
My S3 is constantly and randomly forgetting my contact info, as in all of my text messages or phone logs dont show the persons name anymore just their number and if i go into contacts it shows none. Only fix is to reset the phone. It is NOT an issue with which contacts are displayed and it is ALL of my contacts whether stored on the phone, sim or backed up on google.
Okay I had this problem with both my MyFordTouch and Uconnect. When I first got MyFordTouch and sync;d my phone everything worked great and phonebook downloaded and all my contacts were there and worked. Then one night I was messing with my phone removing contacts and taking the twitter sync and what not off and then i realized my phonebook in my car was no longer displaying.
I have just bought a Samsung galaxy S III - very nice looking device - to replace my old and clunky Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. And I want to transfer all my phone contacts across. On my Xperia, I've got "Phone contacts", and gmail contacts. I tried to import all my phone contacts by first exporting them to a simgle file, and transferring that file to the Samsung.
