I got a red icon on the taskbar that tells me to run Package Manager.
I ran Software Updater and got the following error:
==============================

Check if you are using third party repositories.
This is kind of a strange one, I think. I downloaded and installed Linux yesterday, from the LiveUSB. The install went fine, but when I try to run the update manager, I get an error. Like so:

Im a newbie to ubuntu. Ive come across this while trying to install synaptic manager. However, later I observed that I get this sort of error whenever I try to install anything.
Also, when i go to update manager and click install updates, it displays this:
*Check if you are using third party repositories.
I have the message:

Hi, I'm having trouble with dependencies. When I try and update Ubuntu (I'm on 11.10), I get the following error message:
Check if you are using third party repositories.
Ok, so I run apt updates and all that, but when I type in sudo apt-get install wine1.5 in terminal.
I get this
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
wine1.5 : Depends: wine1.5-i386 (= 1.5.21-0ubuntu1) but it is not installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
If I try the software center, I get this message.
