http://www.talkandroid.com – Finding the best Twitter client has been somewhat of a goal of mine and being that there aren’t very many options to chose from makes it pretty easy. At this point I have found that Boid is my most favorite twitter app but unfortunately even with all of its recent updates still lacks widgets. There is also another up and coming hopeful that I have been keeping an eye on that goes by the name “Carbon For Android.” From what I have seen already, they have a pretty awesome app in the making and I am dying to get my hands on it. Just about every time I go to tweet a picture using Carbon for Twitter I get an error message that it couldn't send my tweet. I've tried doing to through the gallery as well as trying it through the app itself. I don't have any issues posting text-only tweets, but every time I add a picture it fails.

I always find myself looking for new Twitter apps, there’s so many to try in the Google Play Store that it can be overwhelming in choosing one for yourself. For the past two years, Plume (previously known as Touiteur) has been my favorite and has yet to be dethroned…. Until now.

Here’s a piece of Twitter news that would really make me sad. According to former TechCrunch full-time writer guy, MG Siegler, Twitter will cease to support and develop Twitter for Mac. We’ve reached out to Twitter for confirmation, and we’ll let you know what we hear.

Twitter rolled out sweeping updates to all of its mobile properties this week, mostly to support the new Twitter Cards, but unfortunately, those who are using the service on Android aren’t so happy. Twitter has recently announced over the last 48hrs that a new version of twitter is coming to town. Yes, a better twitter.

Not to be outdone by Facebook’s new mobile share button, Twitter has just added an option to “Share this tweet via email” so you can send content to less tech savvy folks. The button appears in the ‘more’ menu alongside reply, favorite, and retweet. It could be a powerful way to spread the service and convince new people to sign up.

Koushik Dutta, developer of ClockworkMod’s popular Carbon – App Sync and Backup app, announced via Google+ today support for devices that have full device encryption. The new functionality also means the app can work with “Desktop Backup Password” protection, which is used to protect adb backups.
