Which network driver? Also, you should update the system to the current release 6.4. Security is one important reason but also the latest driver might fix the issue. [by toracat]
I have a question on ATI Drivers. From what I understand there is 2 ways of installing it. One is to go to Hardware drivers that's under System->Administration and activate Restricted ATI driver. Second way is to go to amd.com and download latest driver and then install it.
I've been having an issue booting up for a while. When I turn on my computer, I get this screen and I cant really do anything beyond that. I've tried reinstalling Ubuntu and and that worked but after doing a restart, I get back to this screen and I can't boot up.
I wonder this because Ubuntu offers a driver, when I go to activate it, it fails to download saying "untrusted source". So why or how could ubuntu offer a driver, then say it is untrusted? So I tried to install my driver various ways from 3 different HowTO's, none were successful, so thinking security settings might be an issue.
