A friend got a HTC Hero CDMA from his relative who came from USA. The phone is locked to sprint network and I want to unlock it to work on Reliance CDMA in India..
Please suggest how to unlock it..

I had to return my phone back to stock to get sprint to work on my phone due to a camera issue. Now I am trying to root my phone again and bring it back to all its glory but nothing I have done to try and root it has been null. I tried re-unlocking it with HTC dev and every other method and every time there would be a Failed message saying <remote: signature verify fail>.

Please excuse me if this is a dumb question. I am moving over from Sprint to Verizon and travel to India a lot. I know and believe I will have no problem roaming over in India on CDMA, as I do so often on Sprint and Verizon's website shows CDMA coverage as well. What I would like to know and double check myself on is being able to switch SIM cards.

So my concern is,how is it possible to use a sprint G Nexus in India on a reliance CDMA n/w...?
Is it possible to do so with some trickery like programming to get it work on an indian CDMA n/w ?
I'm looking at buying an Xperia Play on ebay, and I'm trying to find out if the bootloader is unlocked. The seller says it is sim unlocked, but he doesn't speak good English and isn't understanding that I am asking about the bootloader. On my Nexus phone, there's a little padlock on the screen that shows what the unlock state is...does Xperia Play have something similar?
