I have configured Unbound DNS and it works great if I start it as root using unbound.
I am stumped as to why nfs services will not start at boot on my system that I upgraded from F14 to F16.
nfs services are enabled and configured, but they show as dead after boot. If I start them manually, everything works fine.
After upgrading from F15 to F16 with what I thought was a single, minor issue, I am slowly running into more issues, and more severe.
All of these issues seem to be the "default" after a reboot, and are all services that do not start:
- MySQL server service does not start at bootup.
Hello folks,
F12 + Samba4, services smb and nmb set to run at levels 2345 - after reboot, I need to manually do
service nmb restart
On my local network, I use my Linux machine running dhcpd and IP masquerade as a gateway to the internet. As it is, the setup works just fine, and I've enabled dhcpd in all runlevels in the services dialog, but for some reason, it still does not automatically start when I boot the machine.
Hi All...
Some questions about systemctl.
I installed vsftpd and boinc on my Fedora 17 box.
I tried using systemctl enable xxxxx.service to start the apps at boot up. That doesn't work...
I have systemd and cups installed and configured. Cups works fine if I start it manually with "systemctl start cups.service", but I am having to do that every reboot to get it to work. I have already tried "systemctl enable cups.service", and it didn't change anything.
I Installed 12.04 in July, worked with the office printer perfectly. tried to print today and it wont.
in the printer settings dialog it says:
Quote:
printing service not available.
I have 2 services registered one for HAProxy and one for stunnel. When I type
service start haproxy or service start stunnel they start and everything works fine. I ran ntsysv and they are set as autostart, and I have init.d scripts that work.
I have checked the runlevel and using chkconfig runlevel 3, 4 and 5 are :on.
