thanks, moving the window to another screen, it's using a hotkey to do it that's the problem, I have a workflow where I like to use the mouse as little as possible. (I edited original post to reflect this)
Obviously a very basic question. On arch (gnome) with Skype installed from the official repositories (sorry, not sure on if this is the right forum for it but the arch community is the most helpful one I know) what is the correct way to exit skype? using alt+f4 still leaves the process running as does selecting quit in the top bar.
