http://www.ubuntux.org – I am using KPackageKit to try and update all my software, my problem is I get the following error: Dependency Resolution Failed. A package dependency could not be found. More information is available in the detailed report. Details: The following packages block the installation: ppp libasound2 libglib2.0-0 isc-dhcp-client nautilus I believe the problem started a month or so ago when I was updating software and my laptop died in the middle of an update. I am using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - the Lucid Lynx Any help would be appreciated, Thanks. (Distributions)

I tried to update my ubuntu software and java through update manager. However, after all about few hours, its do not have any progress also.

The errors message shown "Software updates correct errors, eliminate security vulnerabilities and provide new features."

I did try to update & upgrade it through terminal

but this is the error that i Get

Here's what I've been trying to run for weeks and below is what I keep getting

Changing some Software Update settings I possibly corrupted something, and now I don't see many packages in the list. For example:

Possible Duplicate: How do I fix a “Problem with MergeList” error when trying to do an update?

I am using Ubuntu 10.10. While I was working, terminal was disappeared and after some time Software center also disappeared.

Whenever I open Update Manager, the following message is displayed:

So I just set up Ubuntu on an old hdd that I found. I was in another computer that broke and it was larger then the one I had in a laptop so I swapped them out. I just done doing the full install but now I can not open the software center. I keep getting an error about a package needing to be repaired first. I try to repair it but it will not work.
