How do I go about removing the old f11 rpm stuff after an upgrade? I have several packages from fc11 that are newer than what is on the fc12 (probably because of updates), so several things still show up as fc11. Why isn't the fc12 updated at least to the newest or newer stuff in fc11?
Hi
I have a problem with PAE kernel sources and builing nvidia driver.
uname -a returns
Linux myX 2.6.31.12-174.2.3.fc12.i686.PAE #1 SMP Mon Jan 18 20:06:44 UTC 2010 i686 athlon i386 GNU/Linux
1. I run ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86-173.14.22-pkg1.run and I get an error message that kernel sources cannot be found.
2. My folders:
I am trying to install a piece of software that uses an install.pl script which looks to /usr/src/linux/include/ for my kernel headers...but it never finds them or that directory/link.
I've run "yum install kernel-devel kernel-headers" so I am pretty sure they are installed.
My "rpm -qa | grep kernel" returns:
I am trying to install gdb 7 because gdb 6.8 has been freezing quite a bit on me lately.
Code:
[doriad@davedesktop ~]$ sudo rpm -ihv gdb-7.0-3.fc12.i686.rpm

Hi, my friend. I got a problem when using vim under Fedora 12. I can't use global clipboard or register of vim. When I typed the reg command in vim, I got the registers as follows:
Quote:

I am running Fedora 9 and attempting to create a liveCD using the following command
livecd-creator --config=/usr/share/livecd-tools/livecd-fedora-base-desktop.ks --fslabel=Fedora-base-desktop-R01-liveCD
Anyone tell me what the following error means?

Hi im using Fedora 12
I have added the Skype repos according to this guide:
http://www.howtoforge.com/the-perfec...-i686-gnome-p3
But when I try to install Skype I get this:
There seems to be an incompatibility between Eclipse-3.5.1 and GTK that ships with Fedora 12
Often buttons don't react on mouse click. When the botton is highlighted, hitting enter however works.
Code:
$ yum list installed | grep gtk2
