Unable to start Gnome with external monitor attached (since kernel 3.8)

view story

http://www.linuxquestions.org – Hi, Since my update to Kernel v 3.8 I'm unable to start Gnome3, however, I can start Gnome without any issues with older kernels (currently using 3.7). This is case ONLY when my external monitor is attached. Without it, I can boot any newer kernel. Once I'm booting 3.10 kernel with external monitor, my laptop monitor is simply off and external monitor is just with grey background (login screen without login panel). Mouse cursor is visible, I can move it and also I can switch to another console to perform reboot. I haven't too much experience with these graphical things, so please point me (HowTos)
