http://crunchbang.org – I've been trying to solve a problem that I've been having, namely an extreme CPU load when playing certain flash videos, http://urplay.se/172488 in particular. It starts out at around 15% and slowly moves towards 100% load. I've tried disabling the "plugin-container" thingy in Iceweasel (the thing that ate all the CPU), but that did nothing. All that happened was that "firefox-bin" used the CPU instead.So I thought about streaming the video through SMPlayer, MPlayer or VLC, but it is not working as well as I had hoped. Loaded a new x32 machine with FC17 XFCE. I went through the adobe flash plugin install procedure. All that went without incident. Used all the latest updates for FC17 and flash.

I try youtube, the videos seem to load but never start to play. Just a black square. Now, go to the plug in control panel DISABLE flash. Go back to the page re-load and the video plays just fine.

It seems to be due to cpu utilization.

When I installed 12.04 I also added Ubuntu-restricted-extras. I decided to try accessing flash content in Firefox without the Adobe plugin, and I wanted to experiment with streaming video directly with VLC, so I removed flashplugin-installer.

I have a bit of a complicated, advanced question which i think would also require an advanced complex solution (hope im wrong and there is a quick fix). I've been trying to stream embedded flash videos (movies, tv shows, and animes) on my Samsung Galaxy s3 but after playing 2-3 minutes the video would stop. When you look at the gray "loading" bar it looks like it loaded all the way to the end but it didn't, it just jumped from where the video stopped to the end.
