Hi, I'm attracted by the newly released Dell Inspiron (17inch) 7000:
and plan to buy one, and I wish to install Ubuntu 12.04LTS on the laptop. Is there anyone who already has experience of installing Ubuntu 12.04 on this type of laptop? If yes, could you please share the experience with us?
I tried to install ubuntu 12.04LTS on my Dell 14z inspiron 5423 i already try with Live way but i can't make it install on right partition ps. it show only SSD .So i try alternative way by install via wubi and it install complete but when i reboot it show message that"No root file system is defined.
I'm new in the Ubuntu world. I just bought a Dell Inspiron XPS 14z Ultrabook and installed Ubuntu to dual boot with Windows thanks to the Ubuntu Secured Remix package. Everything works fine except the battery.
I have, at most, 1h 30' battery life. With windows it can last more than 3h.
hi all i just recently installed ubuntu 12.04 and since install i havent been able to get wireless internet to work. when i plug in the ethernet cable it works i just dont have wireless. i have been searching around and have run out of things to do.
I recently purchased a Dell ultrabook XPS 13 with Ubuntu 12.04 installed. I really like this ultra but I am having problems getting used to its quirkyness.
There are no RJ45 connectors since this is a thin ultrabook. So I have to use one of the USB 3 ports for ethernet. I have a 100BASE-T USB2-to-ethernet that works OK, but I want to have a 1G connection.
