No matter what I do, there seem to be no way to enable power saving on my Intel 4965 wifi card. Even powertop is unable to switch it's to power level
and the file
Code:
/sys/bus/pci/drivers/iwl4965/*/power_level
doesn't exist.
After downloading and extracting PHP and doing a 'cd' into the directory, I've done the following without incident for the past six months or so:
Code:
./configure --with-curl --with-pear --with-gd --with-jpeg-dir --with-png-dir --with-zlib --with-xpm-dir --with-freetype-dir --with-t1lib --with-mcrypt --with-mhash --with-mysql --with-mysqli --with-pdo-mysql --with-openssl --with-xmlrpc --wit
Hi All,
For some reason the "Background Data" checkbox will not stay checked. This is something new. All along I kept it unchecked unless I wanted to Sync my calendar, contacts or twitter; and also when I went to "Google Play". When I was finished I would uncheck the "Background Data" box to extend battery life.
I have been dealing with this issue for a long time now. I compiled a patched version of ffmpeg offered by this company.
The problem arises whenever I install mplayer via apt-get.
For about a year I have seen this issue during boot-up on Slackware, openSUSE, freeBSD, even windoze 7 reports issues in device manager.
This is a partial of dmesg:
sr 6:0:0:0: Attached scsi CD-ROM sr1
sr 6:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg3 type 5
hub 2-0:1.0: Cannot enable port 6. Maybe the USB cable is bad?
I did
Code:
$ffmpeg -i /data/sumeet/video/hollywood/you\ don\'t\ know\ jack/You.Dont.Know.Jack.2010.DVDRipwww.theevolution.org_by_digoloko.rmvb

I tried to compile and install X.org (for a single card/multiseat in this tutorial) by getting source from here and installing it by:
./configure --enable-kdrive --enable-xephyr --enable-xfake --enable-xfbdev --enable-kdrive-kbd --enable-kdrive-mouse --enable-kdrive-evdev --enable-glx-tls
make
sudo make install
after this Ubuntu freezes in boot on the Ubuntu logo and doesn't boot up!
Note: it
