Hi,I was able to install CentOS 6.2 64 bit on on Lenovo Z570 using DVD1. Could not set up pppoe connectivity. I had earlier set it up on Fedora 16/Arch Linux though.

Hello guys. My name is Ovid. I'm using Fedora 16 on my TOSHIBA C660 Laptop. I want to configure my network internet with ppp0. (PPPoE)
I set up with pppoe-setup, but doing pppoe-start, it's not starting.
If I do ifconfig, I don't see eth0 or ppp0, i see p17p1 or something like that.
How should I do?
I have some investigative research to do into PPPoE and a wireless modem device. I'm have been using rp-pppoe by Roaring Penguin to start a pppoe session as a client. Whilst watching packets being sent by said program (using wireshark), I have noticed that there is no difference when the -s (synchronous mode) option is set or not.
I'm having a problem getting a PPPoE connection to work over a wireless network.
My internet provider uses PPPoE to authenticate over the wireless network. My USB wireless device can connect to the WAP, but the PPPoE is where I start having problems. If I try to set up the PPPoE it tries to connect on the eth port instead of the wlan.
I was using Ubuntu till now but PPPOE was creating problems connecting to internet at my home and it is forcing me to keep WIndows installed on my system. so I decided to give a try to Fedora 17. . heard nice things about it. But this too is causing problems. May be my ethernet driver may be the problem.
