When I try to connect Qtractor output to system I get a beep noise that comes through my speakers. How can I fix this?
Qtractor, an audio/MIDI multi-track sequencer application written in C++ with the Qt4 framework, is now at version 0.5.8 (The India Romeo).
The target platform for this software is Linux, where the Jack Audio Connection Kit (JACK) for audio and the Advanced Linux Sound Architecture (ALSA) for MIDI are the main infrastructures to evolve as a fairly-featured Linux desktop audio workstation GUI.
Hi
luispa,Qtractor runs fine for me. I have a fully updated system and no issues with the package. I don't know about your problem, but maybe I can help if you want to compare any setups or configs. I'm using Archlinux 64 Bit, normal linux kernel package, and jack, not jack2.

Just a quick note on compiling qTractor as I ran into some difficulties and found it difficult to find the answers.
Problem:
dependancy problems for qTractor on Fedora 17
Solved by:
Adding the following dependencies:
# yum install gcc ladspa qt-devel jack-audio-connection-kit-devel alsa-lib-devel libsndfile
These dependencies solved the following errors:
"configure: error: ALSA lib
I'm trying to build a package on Launchpad's Debian build system for PPAs but I'm having some issues with a certain package.
The package I'm trying to build (zorin-xwinwrap) contains a source C file which I'm trying to get to compile and build on Launchpad's server so that it would install and work on 32 bit (i386) and 64 bit (amd64) systems.
I'm uploading my source package to launchpad. Source package is accepted and build succeed, though launchpad do not upload my package into repository with this error:
INFO Failed to parse changes file

I need install it in non-root account in dreamhost hosting.
I intent download deb package from: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/fdm/1.6-4/+build/1999773 but I need some packages.
I can compile or install binary... as non-root?
Thanks
