http://ubuntuforums.org – Everything worked fine in 11.10. Upgrading to 12.04 has introduced errors in starting jack?? Initially, I was using QJackctl and found that it was using /usr/bin/jackdmp for the server. This was in the setup>options page. I was getting an error along the lines of 'cannot start server err - file does not exist'. changing the setting to just 'jackd' or 'jackdmp' alleviated this error message, but no audio was working. QJackctl did however recognize my audio devices in the connections window. A few reboots later, QJackctl just hangs (no GUI, just a gray box with a title bar) and trying t (Hardware)

Yesterday I ran an update on my Acer Aspire One, which I operate under Fedora11. Umongst the updates was also an update for Qjackctl and the jack audio connection kit.

QjackCtl, a simple Qt application that can be used to control the JACK sound server daemon, specific for the Linux Audio Desktop infrastructure, is now at version 0.3.10.

QjackCtl is written in C++, around the Qt4 toolkit for X11, and uses the Qt Designer exclusively.

I have Ubuntu 12.04 and want to setup a M-Audio Axiom 49.

I have tried to read up on jackd1 / jackdmp /jackd2 / qjackctl and whatnot, but havent gotten any sound from the keyboard yet.

A long time ago i managed to get sound from it using rosegarden and qjackctl, but not anymore.

I have timidity installed and can play midi audio with it.

I'm trying to get my Edirol FA-101 (firewire audio interface) working in Linux. I just did a fresh install of Ubuntu Studio 12.04.1 (downloaded a couple of days ago.).

Basically, with the FA-101 connected and turned on, I start FFADO mixer, and it is recognized.

Hello, i'm new in the forum, so i hope i'm doin' this right. i didn't find an answer to my problem so i started this thread.

I've installed the planet ccrma core, rt kernel, jack, and other software to start recording, i've used the same software in suse and debian succesfully , but i can't make jack work in fedora.

The current version of qjackctl (0.3.8-1) on Oneiric 11.10 installs a script in /usr/bin/qjackctl which runs pasuspender before launching /usr/lib/qjackctl/ajackctl.real, which results in pulse audio suspending for the duration of the qjackctl session.

This is the correct thing to do when running jackd1, because jackd1 and pulseaudio don't get along.

But it is incorrect when running jackd2,

Hi, all. I'm trying to set muse or Rosegarden to work with jack on my hp pavilion dv5 with Intel sound card(ATI Azalia Intel HDA), but I have not succeeded to produce any sound of them. Through QJackCtl I kinda start jack, and when I play some note in muse QJackCtl message window print "Audio graph change", but no sound :( Screens: of QJackCtl and muse settings
