Hi there. I downloaded Ubuntu Studio 12.04 and burned it to a DVD.
I want to install it on my Futjitsu AH532 Laptop, but nor the Installation starts or the try it on liveCD are working. It hangs at the logo screen, with the circle running (30 minutes later, still on that screen).
The laptop is 3 months old, I don't think it's comming form it's material.
What should I try ?
Hi,
I have downloaded F12 beta KDE LiveCD x86_64 and checked its SHA1 sum to be okay. I have then burned it onto a standard CD but it does not boot at all.
When I insert the disk and reset the laptop, it shows me the manufacturer's logo screen and the CD keeps spinning in the drive. I have tried changing sever BIOS options but to no avail.
Hey guys, I'm new here, but I've been using Ubuntu for a few months now and I use it 90% of the time. I installed ubuntu studio 12.04 on my laptop, and that has been my main operating system for awhile now, and after trying various different desktop environments Unity is the one that stuck, (don't judge me!
Hi,
I tried to install Fedora17 x64 on my Desktop with the LiveCD but it freezes at the menu where u can choose to either start the Live env or the installation.
Now I downloaded the netinstall CD and the Installation DVD.
I am trying to install either ubuntu or xubuntu on a laptop. The laptop has a 1.5ghz processor and 256k ram (i think). It used to run xp home.
Hi I'm tryin to install Ubuntu for the first time on my xp machine and I'm running repeatedly into a problem. The graphics go haywire right after the Ubuntu loading screen at the start of installation and it just freezes. Whenever I boot into the installation it also skips the installation menu.
I've tried installing from two different CDs, burned at slow rates, in two different CD drives.
being unexpierenced with Ubuntu, I tried to install Ubuntu 11.10 on my DELL Studio XPS running with WIN 7 Prof. Following the recommended installation steps from internet, I first downloaded the iso file, burned it on cd and restarted the system from this burned CD
forced by pressing pf12. Nothing happened (black screen with blinking cursor) and after a while normal WIN 7 startup appeared.
I am trying to install ubuntu once again because nvidia crashed. My laptop screen is broken so I have to plug in another screen and hope that it will notice it at the very start of the installation. But I haven't even got that far yet because my laptop isn't recognising my cd.
I can't for the life of me - get Kubuntu - to install. I tried about a year ago and got a black screen after just a couple of minutes of installing. Now that I have a new laptop I wanted to give it a go again but, it looks like exactly the same thing is happening - whatever that is.
