Hello!
I'm looking for a bit of help getting a 3 monitor set up using Ubuntu 11.04, I have a (64-bit) DELL Latitude e6420 - specs - The graphics card is an 'Intel® HD Graphics 3000'. I can use the VGA port to add an additional monitor, but I would like to add a further monitor.
I have an HDMI port, but adding a monitor on this doesn't work.
I have a problem using dual monitors with my laptop running F17 (and Intel graphics).
Hello my dear #!ers))I am using two monitors and at one stage I got annoyed with two thingsFirst - every time I plug or unplug the second monitor I have to change xrandr settings.
I tried with this problem for 2 years already. LOL, today, I install Ubuntu for I have to resolve it or I will back to stupid Windows 7.
First, I have 3 monitors. My graphic card is support dual ( ATI Radeon ), so I have no problem on extend those multi monitor on VGA and DVI.
The 3rd monitor is Displaylink USB.
I am running a system running Ubuntu Oneric where i have a DVI monitor and an HDTV as my screens.
They are set up using nVidia TwinView. The monitor and TV are not side by side and the intent is to drag movies to the TV and then full screen it. The problem is that windows often open on the TV which I cannot normally view while sitting at the computer.
Hi,
I just connected a second monitor to my laptop (Xubuntu 12.10). At first I got the second monitor as a blank screen (only the default background with no panels on it) and I could drag a window from one screen to the other.
I'm on Unity, trying to configure my collection of monitors. Until this afternoon, I could click on "systems settings", select displays, and click-drag to rearrange the monitors on the screen. This resulted in reasonable behaviour - the mouse could move across boundaries from one to another, and windows could be dragged between them.
This afternoon I acquired a third monitor.
The graphics card on my computer has inputs for (at least) two separate monitors. I have one monitor that is high resolution, and I like using it for X (anything graphical).
So, I'm using two monitors, one to run tests only (java unit tests) and the other for everything else.
Problem is, the tests constantly request keyboard focus since they open windows and thus I can't keep working on the main monitor (because I lose keyboard focus).
Is there any way I can stop the second monitor from getting the keyboard focus or at least make it not interfere with the main monit
