Hi all,
I have a usb mouse connected to my ubuntu machine through the usb hub on my monitor. Normally it works just fine. However, when the monitor goes to sleep and wakes up, the mouse no longer works.
The scenario is like this:
- the computer is in use, mouse works just fine
I failed to find a clean answer to this issue. HP Pavilion Dv6, just installed Ubuntu 12.10 after Windows 7 got too annoying. Ubuntu is currently the only OS on the laptop.
I used to only have 12.04 on here, and everything worked fine.
I have a HP Pavilion dv6700 that I have been using Ubuntu on for several months, currently with 12.04. It is a laptop that had a broken screen, I normally have it connected by VGA to a Samsung SyncMaster 914v monitor.
I bought a Trendnet TK801R KVM switch, and would like to connect all my old machines along with the Pavilion.
All the older computer work and switch well.
Hello,
I have the following problem: I have two computers connected to the same Keyboard/Mouse/Monitor using a KWM switch, on is a windows machine (mostly gaming) and the other an Ubuntu (12.10) that I use for a web server and other applications.
I always had one problem, that I could work around: when I boot the Ubuntu machine, I need to have the monitor set to the Ubuntu server, otherwise, the
I have a kvm-switch (keyboard, video, mouse) to switch between my 2 computers.
One runs on Ubuntu(latest version), the other on windows 7.
When i switch from one computer to the other, my display is not correct.
Ubuntu 9.04 does not boot in normal mode when the slave harddrive is connected.
The desired configuration is:
- one 13 GB master harddrive with dual boot from Win98 and Ubuntu 9.04
- one 40 GB slave harddrive as storage
The Win98 boot option is nonessential; I'm just trying to smooth the transition.
When Ubuntu boots, the second monitor mirrors my other monitor, but when the login screen pops up, the monitor doesn't get any signal from my computer. When I go to monitor setup, it is not detected. If I unplug my first monitor, the second works fin with Ubuntu. When I tried 11.10 on a flash drive, it worked fine as a dual monitor. The default seems to be VGA over the DVI connection. Help?
Dear All,
I am new to Ubuntu and start using Ubuntu for one project.
I have one monitor shared between two machines. One machine has Windows7 and another has Ubuntu. When I want to switch from Windows7 to Ubuntu, I press Windows Key + p and choose projector only. Then the monitor display is switched to Ubuntu machine.
Hi,
I'm trying to sort out an old Mesh PC for my parents, and having a few problems. The computer in question is from 2003 and currently dual boots between Ubuntu 11.04 and Windows XP.
