So I just installed Ubuntu 10.04 on my laptop alongside Windows 7. When I try to connect to a wireless network (my own), it doesn't connect. It just keeps trying to connect, and every 1-2 minutes it gives me a message asking me for the authentication. I'm 100% sure the WEP key is correct though.

Hello,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Gio S5660 with a Wifi problem.
When I connect to my home, school, girlfriend's Wifi it works fine! When I leave the connection with Wifi (just because I go to school of to a Bar..) and I'm going back to my home, school of girlfriend, Wifi is not connecting to the router.
I recently installed Ubuntu 11.10 on my Sony Vaio CR120E. I've been able to connect to the wireless internet at my school fine, but when I came home this weekend, my computer has been having issues connecting to my home router. I can connect to the router, but the internet is on and off. Sometimes the internet works (very slowly), but most of the time it doesn't work.
I've been using Ubuntu for a couple of years, but I'm still very much a noob. I took my laptop to an coffee shop two weeks ago and was able to connect to their free WiFi. However, since then, I have been unable to reconnect to my wireless router at home. I reset the router and did everything but I have no luck. My roommate uses Windows and he has no problem connecting.
I have very little understanding (ok no technical ability so be gentle)

Hi all,
Yesterday I upgraded both mine and my partners laptops to 13.04, now we are both unable to connect to the wireless router (BT HomeHub 3)Prior to the upgrade we had no problems with connecting.
I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 on a MacBook pro 9,2 and I can connect to the LAN at my school (I can ssh into it from another computer on the LAN) however I cannot connect to any server outside of the network (not even pinging Google. I have no idea what the problem is, and am hesitant to contact the admin, as I'm not sure he would exactly approve of Ubuntu on a school funded laptop.
