http://ubuntuforums.org – I moved from 10.04 to 12.04 by clean install. Previously I've had to use additional drivers, but 12.04 seems to recognise my wireless card no problem. The card can see my home network. Wired networking is okay. No matter how I configure the wifi network, 12.04 will not connect; keeps looping back to 'Authentication required by wireless network'. All Windows and Android and iOS devices still connect fine. Tried: Setting wifi to WEP, also open, usually WPA2 AES Every concievable setting in the network manager I put off upgrading until a LTS came out to avoid this sort of thing. Makes (Hardware)

hi i had windows 8 and it crashed, so i decided that i would install Ubuntu to replace it. i installed 12.10 and my wireless card (for wifi and wimax) will not connect to any network. my computer us an asus u56-e with a Intel centrino wireless-n 6150 wifi wimax card.

Good day all! I hope you are doing good. I have performed a WUBI installation of 12.04 on my HP G62 laptop, which has an Atheros AR9285 wireless chipset. Everything works fine with my wired network connection. However, wireless is unable to connect to my wifi network.

However, wireless is unable to connect to my wifi network. I enter the WPA2 key and then it attempts to connect, but eventually comes back, asking for the WPA2 key again, as if it was not good.

So, I have a wireless connection and I want to setup my linux box to share it with my LAN.

Sounds straight-forward, and I'd have no problem doing this setting up my router with DD-WRT as a bridge. However, the WiFi connection is an ad-hoc network using ICS through my Windows Mobile Verizon phone and the router won't connect to it.

I've been struggling to connect to my home wireless network, but up until now my Broadcom card has been able to at least detect the network. I know this because in Network manager, in the Add Network Connection dialog box, if I tell it to scan for wireless networks then I see my home network along with all the other local wireless networks.

I'm having a problem connecting to my wireless network on an IBM Thinkpad T23 running ubuntu 9.10.

My wireless device is a TRENDnet TEW-421PC wireless PC Card.

I've tried it in Windows XP and it works great. Strong signal, easy to set up.

I wiped windows XP because I was having problems with GRUB and wanted to use ubuntu anyway.
