[ubuntu] Wireless Unstable in 10.04 - AR5001 Wireless Network Adapter

http://ubuntuforums.org – I am severe wireless problems with Ubuntu 10.04 on my laptop.(Spec below) I have just performed the first clean install since new. Installed a new Hard Drive as well. The machine and wifi was fine under Ubuntu 9.04. It is booting much faster now but the wifi keeps dropping off. Any assistance in resolving this would be appreciated as I use this machine for work. Spec: Machine - Acer Aspire 4310 Wireless card - *-network description: Wireless interface product: AR5001 Wireless Network Adapter vendor: Atheros Communications Inc. (HowTos)

Wireless signal strength is quite weak. When the laptop is a inches from the router it is OK, but moving just a few feet away causes the connection to drop. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Specs are as follows:

Machine Brand: HP G6-458DX laptop

wireless unstable 41 weeks 5 days ago

I have a Asus eee PC 1001PX running ubuntu 12.04. Everything works well but the wifi is unstable. When I boot the wifi works fine, but after about 5-10 min it gets slow, disconnects etc and the computer starts to run slowly. The it is ok after reboot, for about 5-10 min.

Any ideas? I have tried everything I have found with google but nothing works.

Could you, pls, help me with my wireless card Atheros AR9285 on Ubuntu 10.12.. I've already went through all possible advices and still cannot start my wireless card. I have a laptop Toshiba Portege Z830 where Wifi've already worked under Windows 7. But after migration on Ubuntu 10.12.

my laptop is acer aspire 4743G, wireless connection is ok for windows 7;

used to be ok for ubuntu 10.04, and very instable after an update to 12.04. And the wifi problem only happens at home...

I have installed Ubuntu 11.04 on my Acer Aspire 4349 with AR9485 wireless network adapter. The wired connection works fine, but I can't connect to wireless. The enable wireless tab is not listed on the network manager. Please help me with this. Thank you.

I am working on a new Toshiba Satellite c855d, and this morning it had windows 7 on it. Wireless was working. When I booted Ubuntu, wireless was once again working.

I install 12.04 onto it, and now the wireless connection is no longer functioning.
