I have a Toshiba Satellite L645 laptop. I installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS alongside with Windows 7. At first, everything worked fine. But today my Ubuntu system has a problem. It detects every wireless network in the area except my own. I found that my wireless network is 'hidden', although I didn't do anything with its settings at all.
last night , i installed ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64bit on my laptop completly .
but after that , i can't connect any wireless because i didnt see any wireless network .
i already browsing about this , and try many instruction but still cant see any wireless network .
can somebody help me? im really frustrating like im gonna change back to windows .
Hi, just installed Ubuntu 12.10 and I'm having problems with my wireless usb adapter. The model i was using is and edimax 7622umn and it has chipset rtl8192su. When used in a Windows computer it can find my wireless network and show a very good signal strength however it will never connect as it continues to ask for a password.
I recently installed ubuntu on my HP 4330s laptop. Well everything works fine, except for the wireless network. I can't seem to get it to work. Plus the button you could press to turn wireless networking on and off in Windows have changed to a switch for bluetooth. I've look for network drivers, but I can only find it for other linux.
My nephew's Windows 7-Ubuntu 12.04 1aptop connects to the WPA2-Perosnal wireless network in his own house under Windows 7 but not Ubuntu 12.04. However, when it is brought to my house, it connects to my WPA2-Personal wireless network without any trouble under Ubuntu 12.04. It has plenty of spare system memory and hard-disk space.
