I am researching the best and cheapest Netgear Wireless Cable Modem Router for a
family member. Than it struck me to ask here for others thoughts and experiences
and what all of you thought was good.
I am trying to get it all in one but if there is a cheap alternative that has a
separate cable modem and than a wireless router that would be just as good.
I have a client that has a basic network that uses comcast cable. He bought a NETGEAR N300 wireless router which has a 192,.168.3.X network and he attempted to add it to his 10.10.10.X network and all is fine. He laptops and such can get to the internet fine. The issue is he cannot get to any of his devices on his 10.X network.

Running 10.04 on Satellite Pro 4600 with Netgear WG511 v1 Wireless Card. Wireless PC Card appears to be working (running Windows Drivers) but home network is "not available", the neighbour's wireless networks are "available". Lenovo T61 running 10.04 up and running with no problems. Home wireless is Netgear C9G24N v2 with WPA security. How do I "find" my home Wifi?

I have a linksys wireless router (WRT160N). Connected wireless to the router is my laptop (running Ubuntu) and a wireless HP printer.

Windows laptops using wireless G and N are considerably faster than mine.
12.04 LTS, all restricted drivers and all up to date.
50Mbps wired and 9-21 Mbps wireless on Ubuntu.
