[ubuntu] wireless non connection

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hi! I've had this problem for a long time now. Maybe someone here can help me solve it. My computer sees the wireless network at home, ChinaNet-zbgJ. The dsl router is brand new, they just changed things to make it faster. I have the password, it is written on the router. Ubuntu says I am connected, but I could never, cannot now, access the internet via wireless at home. There is no hardware fault. My son uses Win, and connects via wireless. I can connect at work to the wireless network using this computer and Ubuntu. Some setting is stopping the connection. Does anyone here have any idea (Hardware)

Hi. This is an old problem for me, but apparently insolveable. Thought I'd try again, maybe someone here can help.

The router is brand new, installed yesterday. The internet provider upgraded me and made the connection a bit faster.

I've observed this recently with my wireless/hardware configuration. Has anyone else encountered a similar issue?

When I shutdown my laptop, the other wireless devices connected to the same router have a moment (5 seconds) of unable to connect. Everything returns in a few seconds. Router logs don't appear to indicate a failure.

I have a question. I just bought an internet router which also has wireless connection and my notebook also has wireless LAN. I was able to connect the computer to the internet router very easy. But i dont know how to make it work wirelesss under fedora linux 12...i mean how should i setup the connection to the router so i will be able to have a wireless connection?

I installed Ubuntu 11.10 recently. After the first bootup the computer freezes so I have to force-quit my computer.

Then I turned on my computer after that. I tried connecting to the internet. My (and my neighbor's) wireless networks shown up, but no matter how many times I tried, I can't connect to my home network. I checked the password and the other laptop's internet works (a MacBookPro).

hello all, i have a problem connecting to the internet at home, but have no problem connecting to the internet in other places. My computer connect ot the router but does not receive a connection to the internet form the router. this happens both wireless and ethernet. at the same time everybody elses computers (using windows) connect to the internet in my home.

I would like to connect an android phone/tablet to my Ubuntu pc in my car.

Having a spare router I though of making a local wireless network. All the info on the net is about turning the spare router into an access point of a existing Ethernet connection.

Hello all, my name is John and I am currently living in china but I'm from Virginia, I have just installed Ubuntu on my HP laptop and I am having a problem with the internet connection. At work there is a wireless connection that the computer will connect to with no problem but at home i have a Modem/Wireless route unit I'm guessing that's called a mini PPPOE?
