I've got this problem installing my wireless driver. Is keeps giving me theis message:
Check var/log/jockey.log
I've got a Gateway computer. But I don't quite know what wireless driver I need.
Hi I just deleted my windows XP and installed Ubuntu 9.10 earlier this morning. I used wired connection to get drivers for my wireless network card.
When I did lspci, the very last line states:
Network Controller: Broadcom Coporation BCM4311 902.11b/g WLAN(rev 01)
I had 9.04 on my HP Pavilion DV6570, everything worked fine until I decided to install 9.10. I installed a fresh setup and now I can't use my broadcom wireless, when I go to Hardware drivers to enable proprietary drivers there is nothing to activate, no wireless driver, no graphic driver!
I've been through the many posts with this same problem and applied the recommended fixes but still no good:
Compaq Presario c500. Installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS - everything working except wireless.
I have a Dell Vostro 1700 with the Broadcom BCM4312 card (obviously). Running 10.04.
Earlier today the wireless was working fine, then after a reboot, it stopped.
I need to get the wireless working on this HP dv9005us, I ran lspci and it says the card is "Broadcom Corporation BCM4311 802.11b/g WLAN (rev 1)" and so far I've tried the method that says "Installing drivers for the BCM4311,4312,4321,4322 Cards" on this page and in hardware drivers it says
My wireless basically just quit on me in v10.04. I saw there was a 10.10, so I downloaded it hoping that it would fix my problem.
I have a Dell inspiron 1564, the wireless is enabled according to the network manager, when I type "rfkill list" into terminal it says wireless is
hard blocked: no
soft blocked: yes
My wifi card is a broadcom BCM4312...
Description: Wireless interface
product: BCM4312 802.11b/g LP-PHY
vendor: Broadcom Corporation
Running Ubuntu 11.10. Wireless speeds are about 50-75% of what they usually are. Verified speeds on Windows 7 partition, so wireless card and router are both working properly. Any fix??
Some of you may have seen my post about my wireless issues. I gave up trying to figure out the problem and just reinstalled 10.10. Anyways, did the reinstall, installed all proprietary drivers and STILL NO WIRELESS. Seriously, what the heck is going on?
