[ubuntu] Wireless ceased working

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hello my wireless has recently stopped working. I have been running Ubuntu for over a year and within the past few weeks my wireless signal would randomly drop. Yesterday my wireless ceased working altogether. I have upgraded from Ubuntu 10 to 12.10. The wireless stopped working, so I did a clean install. I have tried a few fixes, but none have worked. It used to see wireless networks, but wouldn't log in.

I would appreciate any help.

I'm trying to make work my wireless network card Intel 2200BG in my laptop Acer Travelmate 4002WLMI.

I just recently got my ethernet port to work by updating my kernel and installing the atheros drivers for it, but my wireless still does not work.I am using Ubuntu 12.10 64-bit. Here is my lshw -c network

I a trying to get Ubuntu 10.04 working on a family members new netbook.

The only real problem I have encountered thus far is the wireless is not working (it worked when booted to windows).
