[ubuntu] Wireless card undetected, or at least not working.

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hello. I have an HP Pavillion dv6000, that came with a broadcom wireless card, which didn''t work, none of the usual fixes for broadcoms worked, and nothing anyone in any thread on it did changed anything at all. It was just very, very stubborn. I changed it for an nVidia card (apparently), which I couldn't get to work either, though it was rumoured to be more compatible. When I had Jaunty, it always said "device not managed" under the network applet, and I couldn't get it to go from there. I've upgraded to Karmic, and would love to finally sort this out, because I've been making due with a crappy usb wireless card for far too long. Problem is, when I click the applet now, it doesn't even say the wireless device isn't managed, it just mentions wired networks (which is greyed out because I don't have one). When I go to terminal and try ifconfig, I see eth0, which is the wired connection, but as far as I know, previously at least, the wireless should be ath0, and that doesn't show up at all. When I try lspci, for internet I have "00:0a.0 Ethernet controller nVidia Corporation MCP67 Ethernet". This is the wired connection again, I think, and the rest is about unrelated devices. I'm not sure where to start. Any ideas? (Hardware)
