hi,
i recently dual boot my system with window 7 and ubuntu 12.04......
I just installed Ubuntu 12.04 on a laptop, the internet works fine thank you, but although it says in the top bar Network indicator menu that it is conected to the network via cable nothing shows up in the Network window when browsing with Nautilus (except for an empty folder named "Windows Network").
Hello all, my ubuntu (10.04) laptop is behaving quite annoyingly over the network:
Connected are: a windows pc (wired) and the laptop (either wired or wireless WPA).
Management of the network interfaces: pure ifup/ifdown based on /etc/network/interfaces.
I've just installed ubuntu on my laptop and I'm trying to connect to the wireless network that the other computers in my house are using.
Hi :)
I recently installed ubuntu on my HP 4330s laptop. Well everything works fine, except for the wireless network. I can't seem to get it to work. Plus the button you could press to turn wireless networking on and off in Windows have changed to a switch for bluetooth. I've look for network drivers, but I can only find it for other linux.
I just installed Ubuntu on my laptop yesterday and it connected to the wireless fine. Then I took it to school, put it on their wired connection, downloaded some stuff, and now the wireless doesn't work.
At first it would detect networks, but not connect. I restarted it and now it can connect, but it acts like it doesn't have internet in the browser. Wired connection still works fine on it.
