Free software leader Richard Stallman claims Ubuntu amounts to spyware with Amazon search integrated into the “dash” of its Unity interface. He is calling for developers to shun the open-source operating system.
Canonical is the company behind Ubuntu. Stallman says the advertising search results amount to surveillance and argues that personal data is on Canonical’s servers.

i used ubuntu for a along time as the only thing i do from the computer is watching movies and browsing internet. for my exam purposes i have to use this application call "bpp ipass" which only run in windows, so i installed windows while having ubuntu and recoverd the grub using "boot-repair" by booting a usb stick.

Hey everyone, a long time ago I had a Laptop that had Ubuntu and Windows XP Professional on it. One day it just shut down so I turned it back on and it said "BOOTMGR missing or corrupt." So I got the recovery disc and tried to do a recovery. Didn't work. There's more then just the BOOTMGR problem and I can't even access the Windows Partition from GParted on Ubuntu.
