http://ubuntuforums.org – Ubuntu 12.10 on Lenovo x230 Tablet I5 intel. Very new system, and older retail box DVD of Windows 7 Pro 64bit. So far I have downloaded Virtual Box from the Ubuntu Software center and then started installing it via Gui. Windows starts its install process but stops during the unpacking process. I left it for 3 hours and it stayed unpacking. How can I get windows/virtual box past this stage of the install? (Hardware)

My wife bought a new laptop: HP Pavilion g6. It is an Intel dual core and so runs 64-bit.

I had trouble installing Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64-bit and in the process accidentally deleted the pre-installed Windows 7 Home Prem 64-bit. It actually installed over the Windows partition deleting it.
