Hi.
Is it possible to run Windows on Ubuntu PowerPC using QEMU?
I looked for several guides on the net but that wasn't clear.
I installed several GUI's for QEMU and KVM (like Aqemu and Qemulator and some others).
What is the best option for running Ubuntu and Windows 7 on an used Desktop?
I have a mathematical program that runs on 64 bit Ubuntu. I need to run it on my Windows 7 workstation, preferably without having to install Ubuntu instead of Windows, because this is a short term need. Is there a way I could run 64-bit Ubuntu as a virtual machine on my Windows 7 box?
Hey all,
Trying to figure out a clean and hopefully free way (except Windows OS costs) to implement the following with the linux server i have:
Install some sort of virtual machine software that allows windows to run on ubuntu (easy part)
View that virtual machine through a browser on my ipad/android phone/anywhere using log in credentials
Currently I have a separate windows laptop I can
Soon after I got my paws on a Windows 8 Pro installation DVD, I began what I thought would be a simple process of setting up a dual-boot system between it and Ubuntu 12.10 Desktop on an SSD. The SSD is a 2.5″ 128 GB unit from OCZ Technology Group, Inc., which I have already used to dual-boot Windows 7 and older versions of Ubuntu.
I am having problems getting grub to load Windows 8 properly after installing Ubuntu 12.10 and Windows 8 on a solid state drive.
Hi,
I have VirtualBox on 64bit Ubuntu 12.1 running on a Lenovo x220 with i7-2640M 1.8ghz x 4.
I am trying to install a Windows 7 64bit guest from an .iso (I have a legitimate license that came with the machine I'd like to get virtual) but get an error as Windows is trying to start.
Status: 0xc000035a
Info: Attempting to load a 64-bit application, however this CPU is not compatible with 6
I have a Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04 installed on my machine.
I'd like to know if it's possible to start my Windows 7 from WITHIN an opened Ubuntu session.
The same way I would open a virtual machine with Virtual Box, but without having to create a virtual machine (Why would I recreate a windows 7 installation (approx 25GB), when I already have one installed on my computer...?)
I need to do some
My wife bought a new laptop: HP Pavilion g6. It is an Intel dual core and so runs 64-bit.
I had trouble installing Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64-bit and in the process accidentally deleted the pre-installed Windows 7 Home Prem 64-bit. It actually installed over the Windows partition deleting it.
