[ubuntu] Wifi issues upgrading to 12.10 with Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hello, I am a Linux newbie and upgraded to 12.10, but my wifi doesn't work properly. It connects, but then will ask for re-authentication after 20 seconds. This problem started after upgrading to 12.04, an my system is 'up2date'

Have tried most of the solution-proposals found on the net.

I've recently Installed Ubuntu 11.04 on my HP Compaq Presario V6307 TU. Everythings seems fine except that I can't use my wireless card. The network manager doesn't show any Wireless networks.

I am unable to make Wifi work on my Ubuntu laptop.

I have a hp nx7400 installed with Xubuntu 11.10.

Somehow the wireless does not work, I have read a lot of articles about this but I think I broke more then fixed thinks.

When I do sudo lshw -C network, it returns:

Hi everyone, fairly new to Linux. I've installed Ubuntu 12.04 on my Asus N76VZ, and I'm having issues with the wireless connection dropping every few minutes. I can disconnect and reconnect and it will then work again.

So I just installed Ubuntu 11.10 on my HP Pavillion DV6000 and my wireless will not connect. I been searching all over the Internet for answers so this is my last resort. Nobody can quite figure it out I've heard to get online and do updates cause i dont have a wired connection.

It reads my wireless and ask for passphase and then just cant connect.

I would like to figure out the MAC Address of the Ethernet and the Wireless Interfaces on my laptop.
