http://ubuntuforums.org – I've installed Ubuntu 12.04 on a Dell Optiplex 210L. The tower has no wifi card and because of my living situation (landlord provides internet, but router is located in his apartment) I have to connect to the internet via wifi. I got a Netgear WNA3100 wireless USB adapter, v1. I installed ndiswrapper 1.57 and the Broadcom bcm43xx USB 32 bit v2. The computer detects the USB wifi adapter, and I can see the network I need to log on to. But when I put in the required password (and it is the RIGHT password) it says it's wrong. I also tried using my rooted Droid as a wifi hotspot, no logon required, (Hardware)
