Having Issues with wifi in BlackBuntu on my Asus U52F-BBG6 it doesn't see any wifi networks in my neighborhood even though I know they are there. I can connect on my BackTrack 5 R1 side but not on my BlackBuntu side. I have the same network manager Wicd on both my backtrack and blackbuntu but blackbuntu side sees no wifi networks but backtrack does. I haven't figured it out.
hi i had windows 8 and it crashed, so i decided that i would install Ubuntu to replace it. i installed 12.10 and my wireless card (for wifi and wimax) will not connect to any network. my computer us an asus u56-e with a Intel centrino wireless-n 6150 wifi wimax card.
Hi,Recently I installed Arch Linux on my Thinkpad X220, and everything seems to be fine hardware-wise, except the fact that my WiFi card (Intel Wireless-N 6250) cannot connect at wireless-N speeds.
Hi, I have recently installed backtrack 5 r1 on my laptop.
Previously I had ubuntu 11, and wireless worked fine.. not anymore
I have the blue indicating light showing active wifi, but in wicd there are no networks available.
I am relatively new to Linux and have been trying to use Backtrack 5 but it doesnt detect my wireless card so I cant connect to any wireless networks, I am using a Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC wireless card. I was wondering is there anything I can do like download drivers/patches etc. to make my internal wireless card work, or will I have to buy an external USB wifi adapter.
Hi all,

The card is Intel Centrino Wireless Advanced-N-6230
As of yesterday the wifi is INTERMINABLY slow if it works at all but always connected.
Hello everybody,
After installing Ubuntu on my computer I had problems with wifi it disconnected from networks in an aleatory way. Then Wild Man helped me and now I have no problems with connection at home or at my friends.
Now the problem is that at school it disconnects me quite regularly.
Hi guys,
I've got a wifi connection that drops around every half hour. When I go to the log I see this:
ubuntu wpa_supplicant[29144]: CTRL-EVENT-DISCONNECTED bssid=00:23:69:28:21:75 reason=7
It then connects again, but after a while it drops.
My wifi card is an AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter.
I recently purchased an asus ux50v and the wireless is acting very odd.
Firstly, I can pick up wireless network with it if I install WICD, because knetworkmanager picks up no networks. Secondly, if I type wlist scan a bunch of networks do show up.
