I guess that is why the interface isn't changing to "mon0". What am I to do. I use a ralink rt2860 wireless driver (HowTos)

So I am a total noob to linux in general, but somehow I seemed to get my ralink rt2860 wireless chipset working using the drivers from ralink's site. Unfortunaltely, I keep getting the error when updating or installing stuff "errors were encountered while processing: rt2860-dkms". Did I mess up when installing?

Hi, I have recently installed backtrack 5 r1 on my laptop.

Previously I had ubuntu 11, and wireless worked fine.. not anymore

I'm going to follow it step-by-step.

I am trying to get driftnet working on my wireless lab. I had it working earlier but now can't get it to work. I am trying to document the process.

My lab consists of an open wifi network. I have joined my BT5 R3 machine so that it has network access on the "labwifi". I've created my monitor interface using airmon-ng start wlan0 and verified the interface has been created.

Hello, first off im using a laptop with Interface:wlan0 Chipset:Atheros Driver: ath9k - [phy0] Aircrack-ng has been installed and im following this guide and when i have to enter the command sudo airodump-ng mon0 I get the following

Interface mon0: ioctl(SIOCGIFINDEX) failed: No such device

I have been fighting this for about week now, but I am highly motivated to see this through.

I have a 10.10 install on a eeePC901, with the rt2860 wireless chipset.

Following the instructions on this forum, I have blacklisted the rt2800 and rt2x00 modules that came with stock Ubuntu to keep them from interfering with the rt2860sta module.

Hi, My MainBoard is G41MT-S2P. It has G41 Express Chipset for Graphics. My OS is Fedora Core 17 64 bit.

The problem is it seems the OS is using a basic video driver, display flickers and mouse cursors blinks, noticeable because it seems the system is performing slow.

What wireless chipset does the Nexus 7 use ?

I was reading the following website and wondered what would be required to enable monitoring mode on the Nexus 7, which could be quite useful.

Are the kernel modules re-compiled to add in code for this feature or is there more to it ?

Hi,

I have root my phone, install a custom rom(cyanogen 10) and install backtrack arm like THIS.

Aircrack is correctly installed but airmon-ng don't mount wlan0 on monitor mode.

the chipset displayed is : bcmsdh_sdmmc.

I did some research on this chipset and aircrack on GS3 but i have not found anything

The exact model of my device is : GT-I9300.
