Couple of years back I was using Ubuntu installed within Windows 7 OS. Back then Ubuntu version was 10.04.
Today, I downloaded Ubuntu 64-bit Live Disc and when I try to install I do not understand how to install within Windows 7. So, any day later if I need to uninstall Ubuntu I can do by uninstalling via wubi.
Somehow I do not find those options now.

I installed Ubuntu 12.04.1 on my laptop. I knew that installing using the option install alongside windows 8 will screwup windows's bootloader. But I ended up installing it in that way because I was not paying any attention.
So now I have a GRUB, a working ubuntu and a broken windows 8. I dont have a windows 8 installation disk as it came preinstalled. Is there a way to repair windows bootloade?
I've been trying to help a friend reinstall Windows XP after she decided she wasn't ready for Ubuntu, but when I boot her Lenovo T61p from the Windows XP install disk, it complains that there is no hard drive. But the hard drive is fine, and will still boot Ubuntu.
My wife bought a new laptop: HP Pavilion g6. It is an Intel dual core and so runs 64-bit.
I had trouble installing Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64-bit and in the process accidentally deleted the pre-installed Windows 7 Home Prem 64-bit. It actually installed over the Windows partition deleting it.
I am planning to install a new blank hard drive on my computer but i cannot find the windows iso file i need(windows 7 starter) so can i just install ubuntu instead when i put the new hard drive in? i dont have a cd/dvd rom reader on my laptop. i can only install from usb stick.
and no windows 7 starter's iso file cannot be found ANYWHERE!

I installed Ubuntu many times on my notebook and on other PCs but after a few days I turned back to Windows. Yesterday I installed Windows 7 Professional and now I noticed that my graphic card don't work - whyever.
A few weeks ago I installed 12.04 LTS on my computer. Once I figured out how to get around and actually do what I wanted it slowly got more and more painful any time I had to boot into Windows to do anything.
Earlier today I was showing my wife Ubuntu on my computer. I encouraged her to sit down and give it a try to see what she thought of it.
I will most likely sound like pretty dumb saying this, but I was trying to install Ubuntu on a USB because my friend keeps telling me to, so I was installing it, and now it seems when I try get back onto Windows 7 it just comes up with a flashing white underline at the top left-hand corner of the screen.
