Ubuntu 11.10 final version is out now.
I made a mistake.
I tried to upgrade my Ubuntu from 10.04 LTS.
Then, I upgraded to 10.10.
It's really funny, then, the system tells me this is an unsupported version, and I cannot upgrade to another unsupported version target.
So, I think this is an issue for Ubuntu community.
10.04 is a LTS version, which should provide a way for the user to upgrade to 12.04 directly.
Now Ubuntu Lucid (10.04) LTS(Long time support) beta1 has released and the final stable version will be released on April 29, 2010.Here is how to upgrade from Ubuntu 9.10 or 8.04 LTS.
To upgrade from Ubuntu 9.10 on a desktop system:
Tualatrix Chou, the developer behind the Ubuntu Tweak application, a very useful utility for all users of the Ubuntu Linux operating system, announced today, April 25, that a new version is available for download, supporting the brand-new Ubuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail) operating system.
I upgraded my ubuntu 11.10 to 12.04. It had kernel version 3.2.0-24 and I went to the "Previous Linux Version" where I selected kernel version 2.6.38-11 option in the operating system options. After that whenever I start the machine, it shows startup ubuntu image and gets stuck to that. Nothing happens after that. I can go to the user shell and use commands. I can't use the graphical interface.
For a while, I have been using a 32-bit version of Ubuntu, and I have been considering switching to the 64-bit version. Because I am not too familiar with the ins and outs of Ubuntu yet, I was wondering if it's possible to directly upgrade to the 64-bit version, or will I have to uninstall Ubuntu, and then re-install it?
I'm seeing info on how to upgrade from a specific version to another, and that is what I want to do (currently 3.3.6), but is there a simple command to do this? I'm a complete ubuntu/linux noob so I have no idea what I'm talking about, I just want to upgrade php because my current version maybe limiting the amount of input elements that I can post to the following page.
I have a SGS-2 and I have a windows Vista Home OS on my Laptop and I have Kies Version when I try to Upgrade to the latest Android Version 2.3.3, it says updating and the end it says update failed. I have tried all permutations and combinations.
It just does not upgrade to the latest version of Android.
I am currently running version 10.04 and want to upgrade to 11.04 which I have on CD. Someone told me I need to be running version 10.10 to be able to upgrade to 11.04. If this is true where do I find a copy of 10.10 to be able to upgrade to that version? Or can I go ahead and upgrade to the version on the CD I have?
