[ubuntu] Via vnt-6656 and ubuntu

http://ubuntuforums.org – Hello. I have bought a mini-pc wich has an internal wireless card. In the output of the lsusb command I can see that the wireless card is a via vnt_6656. But there are any module loaded for this card ant it does not appear in the iwconfig or ifconfig output. Has anyone this card working? I have found this page: http://cateee.net/lkddb/web-lkddb/VT6656.html If I try to manual load the module I get an error saying that the module is not avaliable (Hardware)

I am trying to install a wireless LAN USB into Ubuntu 10.04 server edition.

I currently have a studio 1735 laptop. when i ordered, i didn't really think ahead. and now, i realize i need bluetooth. i could just go out to futureshop or somehwere and get a adaptor. but i travel a lot, so an adaptor is inconvineant.

i searched around and found these cards

In openSuse I can connect to a wireless network. It says that it is connected, and I can open the router page (http://192.168.1.1/basic.html).

Pulseaudio module help 48 weeks 16 hours ago

Long story short I need pulseaudio module: module-http-protocol-tcp loaded. I tried editing the default.pa and adding the line module-http-protocol-tcp. When I boot up the computer I have no audio and pulseaudio has failed saying no such module. I don't know what really to do, the module-http-protocol-tcp.so is in the directory so I would think it should work.

I have a friend with an old, still-working laptop that wants to switch to linux. (Dell Inspiron 7000 PII) I loaded Lubuntu because it's an old machine and has only 512MB of memory. The laptop has no built-in ethernet or wireless. As the title says, he has an EC2T card with it. I've tried to get lubuntu to recognize the card but it's a no-go.

I'm completely new to anything outside of windows and I've run into an issue with my first attempt at compiling a kernel module.

I'm working on the latest version of Ubuntu which I downloaded a few nights ago running on a VM.

I get the following error when trying to compile with "make".

"fatal error: linux/module.h no such file or directory compilation terminated&quot

Hello fellow Archians,I just realized my sd card reader does not function at all.  No recognition of sdcard when inserted.  The laptop model is Asus G73jw.  The sdcard / reader works under windows.   I followed http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-92 … art-0.html as the card reader was similar, mine is 05:00.0 Unassigned class [ff00]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd.

I think it has a prism wireless card .. and anyway, I can see that it uses the orinoco_cs driver.

Since lucid, this has not been working.
