Hi,
I am running a server that is mostly headless, but does run the Gnome environment (I have ubuntu-desktop installed). I usually administer it via VNC over SSH.
I encounter the error below no matter what mysql command I enter in my shell on my bluehost connected server.
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'myuser'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
The simplest command I have tried that nets this error is
mysql -u myuser -pMypass

When Ubuntu boots, the second monitor mirrors my other monitor, but when the login screen pops up, the monitor doesn't get any signal from my computer. When I go to monitor setup, it is not detected. If I unplug my first monitor, the second works fin with Ubuntu. When I tried 11.10 on a flash drive, it worked fine as a dual monitor. The default seems to be VGA over the DVI connection. Help?

I had a stable 12.04 machine running perfectly.
The machine was booted without the monitor connected - since then the system always boots to low graphics mode.
I'm connected to Ubuntu server that is a member of a corporate Active Directory domain via likewise-open. The users are in the form mydomain\myuser. I can connect to it via ssh, escaping the \ with another \:
ssh mydomain\\myuser@myserver
I've generated a pair of keys via ssh-keygen, then tried to copy it to the remote machine.
I'm trying to VNC into a computer that does not broadcast it's ip address.
I have just setup a dual monitor system with a 23 inch LED monitor and a 19 inch LCD monitor. The 23 inch one is connected through HDMI. The 19 inch one is connected to the analogue port of the same GPU (Nvidia Geforce 210).
In Ubuntu 12.10, after installing Nvidia drivers, the 23 inch monitor works fine but the 19 inch monitor got a very low resolution.
Hi, I've looked throuigh previous threads and not found anything to help.
